Frances Cortez Named 2021 Drug Lawsuit Source College Scholarship Winner

Frances Cortez Drug Lawsuit Source College Scholarship Winner 2021SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — Drug Lawsuit Source is pleased to announce Frances Cortez, of Las Vegas, Nev., as the recipient of the 2021 Drug Lawsuit Source College Fund Scholarship.

Established in 2015, the Drug Lawsuit Source College Fund Scholarship offers $1,000 to one student each year who best exemplifies determination and perseverance to succeed in their academic endeavors.

Cortez is currently enrolled at the University of Arizona, studying management and organization and plans to pursue her master’s degree in business administration. Cortez previously earned her bachelor of science in organizational leadership and regional commerce from the University of Arizona.

“My goal is to use my talent for effective leadership and elevate my knowledge, experience and business acumen in an advanced leadership career with a non-profit,” Cortez wrote in her essay. “It is my vision to cultivate a fun, safe and transparent work environment that allows the opportunity of growth and development.”

Cortez wrote that attending college wasn’t always on her path due to family circumstances, but because of her life experiences, her goal is to help others in similarly challenging situations.
“My goal is to provide everyone an opportunity to create,” she wrote, “and show their authentic self on their path to success by challenging the status quo to show diversity in ways of thinking, solving problems and leadership style.”

Each year, the Drug Lawsuit Source College Fund Scholarship is available to one student who best displays determination and perseverance, much like Cortez, in their academic endeavors.
To be eligible, the student must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, junior college; a high school senior enrolled in summer or fall classes; or attend a trade school in the United States.
“We’re proud to name Frances as this year’s scholarship recipient,” Buckfire Law president Lawrence J. Buckfire said. “She shows that goals can be achieved through perseverance and determination. Her desire to be a great leader while encouraging others to grow and succeed is incredibly inspiring.”

The deadline to apply for the 2021 Drug Lawsuit Source College Fund Scholarship was Nov. 1, 2021. Details for the 2022 scholarship will be posted in the near future on www.druglawsuitsource.com.
